Fast Commercial Boiler Help is an independent Gas Safe registered engineer (985448). We are not a manufacturer's appointed service agent, so for plant still under a manufacturer's warranty, check the warranty terms first. Out of warranty, we work on all of the makes below.
Hamworthy commercial boiler repair
Hamworthy plant (for example the Wessex and Purewell ranges) is common in schools, offices and public buildings. We deal with lockouts, ignition and flame faults, sequencing on modular installs, and servicing.
Ideal Commercial boiler repair
Ideal Commercial boilers such as the Evomax wall-hung range often run as cascades. Typical calls: individual module lockouts, fan and gas valve faults, condensate blockages and controller issues.
Remeha commercial boiler repair
Remeha floor-standing and wall-hung condensing boilers (Quinta and Gas 210/310 families among them) appear in larger plant rooms. We repair, service and commission them.
Baxi Commercial & Potterton Commercial
Baxi Commercial and Potterton Commercial boilers, including older Paramount-type installs, are widespread in light commercial buildings. We handle breakdowns, servicing and like-for-like replacement.
Worcester Bosch commercial & light commercial
Worcester Bosch light commercial units such as the GB162 are often fitted in cascades in offices, churches and smaller schools. We repair, service and replace them.
Vaillant commercial
Vaillant commercial and light commercial boilers, single or cascaded. Breakdowns, servicing and controls.
Warm air and radiant brands
Reznor, AmbiRad, Powrmatic, Benson, Space-Ray, Winterwarm and Combat heaters: see warm air & radiant heater repair. Oil-fired plant: commercial oil.
What to send us before we attend
Commercial boilers vary a lot, even within one manufacturer's range. A few details help us bring the right parts and fix the fault on the first visit:
- A photo of the data plate, showing the make, model, serial number, output and gas type.
- The fault code or display message, and whether it comes back after a reset.
- How many boilers there are and whether they run as a cascade or modular bank under one controller.
- The fuel: natural gas, LPG or oil.
- When it started, for example after a power cut, a frost, a gas supply interruption or other work on site.
- Access details: where the plant room is, any keyholder, and whether it is at height or on a roof.
Send these on WhatsApp 07947 578332 or by email and we will come back to you with what we think the problem is likely to be.
Faults we see across most commercial makes
Whatever the badge on the front, most commercial boiler breakdowns come down to a short list of causes:
- Ignition and flame detection faults: worn or dirty electrodes, flame sensing problems or a failing ignition lead, often showing as repeated lockouts.
- Fan and air pressure faults: a failing fan, a blocked air intake or a flue restriction stopping the boiler proving its air supply.
- Gas valve and gas pressure problems: low pressure under load, a faulty valve or a supply issue affecting several boilers at once.
- Overheating and low flow: a failed pump, a sticking valve, air in the system or dirty water restricting flow through the heat exchanger.
- Condensate blockages on condensing boilers, especially when external pipe runs freeze in winter.
- Controls and sequencing: a cascade controller, BMS signal or timeclock that is not calling the boilers correctly.
- Low system pressure: leaks, a failed expansion vessel or a pressurisation unit fault. See pressure loss and leak repair.
We diagnose the cause rather than swapping parts on guesswork, and we explain what we found in writing.
Warranty, independent repairs and older boilers
We are an independent engineer, not a manufacturer's appointed agent. That matters mainly for newer boilers: if your boiler is still under a manufacturer's warranty, check whether the terms require the manufacturer's own engineers. Once a boiler is out of warranty, an independent engineer can usually repair and service it, and keeping a record of annual servicing helps you show it has been looked after.
Older boilers are common on commercial sites, and many still run well. Where a part has been discontinued, we will tell you honestly what the options are, whether that is a compatible alternative, a repair to the existing part, or planning a replacement before the plant fails in mid-winter.
Safety and standards on every make
All gas and LPG work is carried out under our Gas Safe registration 985448 and the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, following the manufacturer's instructions for the appliance. Non-domestic plant, flues and ventilation are checked against BS 6644 and IGEM/UP/10 where they apply. After a repair we carry out combustion checks and prove the safety devices before handing the boiler back. If we find a dangerous situation we follow the Gas Industry Unsafe Situations Procedure. Our engineers are OFTEC trained for commercial oil-fired boilers. The work is done by our team of over 10 local engineers, based at CO10 8NN near Sudbury, covering Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and East Anglia. For regular care of mixed plant, see our commercial boiler servicing and planned maintenance pages, or cascade and condensing boiler repair for modular banks.
Questions we get asked
Do you repair Hamworthy boilers?
Yes. We repair and service Hamworthy commercial boilers as an independent engineer, including modular and floor-standing installations. Send us the model from the data plate and any fault code shown on the display, and we can usually tell you what parts may be needed before we arrive.
Are you an Ideal or Remeha approved service agent?
No. We are an independent Gas Safe registered commercial engineer (985448), not a manufacturer's appointed agent. We work on those makes out of warranty. If your boiler is still within a manufacturer's warranty, check the warranty terms first, because some require the manufacturer's own engineers or approved partners.
My make is not listed. Can you still help?
Probably. We attend most common commercial makes, older floor-standing boilers and modular banks. Send the make and model on WhatsApp 07947 578332, ideally with a photo of the data plate, and we will tell you straight away whether we can help.
Where do I find the make and model of my boiler?
Look for the data plate. On wall-hung modules it is usually behind or inside the front cover; on floor-standing boilers it is often on the side panel or casing. It shows the make, model, serial number, heat output and the gas type the boiler is set up for. A clear photo of it is the most useful thing you can send us.
Can you still get parts for older commercial boilers?
For many older boilers, yes. Common parts such as electrodes, fans, gas valves, pumps and controls are often still available from the manufacturer or specialist merchants. When a key part has been discontinued, we tell you honestly, explain any alternatives and, if repair is no longer sensible, give you a written quote for replacement.
Is it worth repairing an old boiler or should we replace it?
It depends on the age and condition of the heat exchanger, how often it has broken down, how easy parts are to get and how efficient it is compared with modern condensing plant. A single repair on a sound boiler is usually good value. Repeated breakdowns on old plant often cost more over a winter than a planned replacement.
Do you work on different makes on the same site?
Yes. Many plant rooms have a mix, for example a newer cascade alongside an older floor-standing boiler, a separate water heater and warm air heaters in a workshop. We can look after all of it on one visit and one maintenance plan.
Do you work on oil and LPG boilers as well as natural gas?
Yes. Gas and LPG work is carried out under our Gas Safe registration 985448, and our engineers are OFTEC trained for commercial oil-fired boilers. Tell us the fuel when you call so we bring the right equipment and parts.
How do I book or get a quote?
Call 0800 0996 007, WhatsApp 07947 578332, or email [email protected] with the site, fuel and what you need. Photos of the data plate and the display or fault code help us arrive with the right parts. Rates can be negotiated.
