Emergency commercial plumber Cromer work is shaped by the resort: most calls are about hot water or leaks in hotels, guest houses, cafés and shops along the cliff top and in the streets around the church, where a failure in the middle of a full week matters most. Call 0800 0996 007 or WhatsApp 07947 578332.

Victorian hotels, a pier theatre and a working fishing beach

The Hotel de Paris above the pier began as a coastal residence in 1820 and was remodelled by George Skipper in the 1890s; the Red Lion dates from the 17th century, and the Sandcliff and Cliftonville hotels are Victorian and Edwardian. Buildings of that age carry long runs of old pipework to many bedrooms, hot water cylinders and calorifiers in basements, and tanks in the roof. The pier, 151 metres long and home to the Pavilion Theatre, has its own exposed services, and the salt air on the front shortens the life of external valves, flues and fixings.

Away from the front, Cromer Hospital runs a minor injuries unit for north Norfolk, Cromer Academy is the town's secondary school, and Middlebrook Way, the town's main industrial estate, and Stonehill Way on the south-west side hold trade counters, workshops and storage. The North Norfolk Business Centre at Crossdale Street, Northrepps, adds small offices and units just outside town.

A long way from Clare, so we agree it on the phone

Cromer is about 83 miles from Clare CO10 8NN, around two hours by road through Norwich and up the A140. That is well beyond our usual radius, so the desk will tell you honestly on the first call whether we can attend, when, and at what rate before anyone sets off. For a quick make-safe you may be better served by someone closer, and we will say so.

In the meantime, close the nearest isolation valve or the incoming stop valve if you can do so safely, turn off the water heater or boiler serving the leaking circuit, and move guests and stock away from the water. In a hotel, tell us which rooms are affected and whether they are occupied tonight.

Emergency commercial plumber Cromer — what to send

Give the business name and NR27 postcode, whether you are on the seafront, in the town centre or on an estate, what has failed (leak, burst, no hot water or no heating), whether you have isolated it, and how many rooms or covers are affected. Photos by WhatsApp of the leak, the cylinder or water heater and its data plate help us judge what is needed before a long journey.

Gas appliance work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers only (Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998). If anyone smells gas, get people out of the area, do not touch electrical switches and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 first.
